Can Trump use Adele’s songs in his campaign? Larry Iser explains

KHIKS founding partner Larry Iser was quoted by ABC News and Forbes magazine on one of his favorite legal points:  whether a political candidate can use a song without the permission of the artist.

When singer Adele found out that Donald Trump was using two of her recordings, “Skyfall” and “Rolling in the Deep,” without asking her permission, she said she would like him to stop playing them at political rallies.  A spokesman for the singer said Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.

In this case, however, Trump may be within his rights.
