Huffington Post: Jeremiah Reynolds Prevails for ‘Hurt Locker’ Writer, Director

KWIKA partner Jeremiah Reynolds secured dismissal of a lawsuit brought against screenwriter Mark Boal and director Kathryn Bigelow by an Iraq war veteran who had claimed their Oscar-winning film The Hurt Locker was based on his personal war experiences.

Jeremiah characterized the ruling as a huge victory for filmmakers, commenting, “No artist should ever be forced to create entire fictional worlds that have no basis in reality simply because they fear the threat of meritless lawsuits.”
