Jeremiah Reynolds Speaks to The Hollywood Reporter on Fox News’ Retracted Conspiracy Theory Story

Jeremiah Reynolds was recently quoted in Ashley Cullins’ Hollywood Reporter article “Fox News’ Retracted Seth Rich Conspiracy Theory Story Unlikely to Spark Lawsuit.” According to Jeremiah, it would be highly unlikely for the family of late Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich to file a lawsuit against the network for its story alleging Rich had leaked thousands of emails to WikiLeaks, as the right to take someone to court for defamation of character dies with the individual.

“The courts have uniformly said you can’t get around that rule by pleading it in a different way,” said Jeremiah. “I don’t really know how [the Riches] could come up with a claim. It’s a shame because it’s really a pretty egregious case.”
