Larry Iser featured on Politico

In his “Campaign Music 101: Ask first!” feature article at Politico.com, KHIKS partner Larry Iser is encouraged that the political establishment appears to have gotten the idea that campaigns must ask permission before using copyrighted songs to attract voters to their candidates.  Nevertheless, there have been several major copyright gaffes during the current election cycle.

Larry handled the two landmark lawsuits in this area:  on behalf of Jackson Browne against 2008 presidential candidate John McCain and on behalf of David Byrne against former Florida governor Charlie Crist.  Read what Larry has to say on the subject in his byline article.
