KWIKA Managing Partner Larry Iser was recently quoted in Rolling Stone, the New York Times, Billboard, Deadline, Variety and Forbes on musician Neil Young’s high-profile lawsuit against Donald Trump over the use of his songs at political campaign rallies. According to Larry, the crucial issues of copyright, antitrust, and artists’ rights are at play in the suit.
“No campaign should use an artist’s song without permission because it undeniably constitutes at least an implied endorsement of the candidate by the artist,” says Larry. “ But it will be hugely expensive for Neil to spar in court with the deep-pocketed Trump campaign.”
