Zachary Elsea Quoted in Billboard
Zachary Elsea was recently quoted in Colin Stutz’ Billboard article “The ‘Blurred Lines’ Appeal Failed — Now What?” In the article, Zach discusses the case’s potential impact on who should decide the verdict in future copyright infringement case.
“Big picture, I don’t think it’s a major change in the law,” he explained. “However, I think that any impact that the jury verdict had when it came down in 2015 in making artists more cautious to use a groove or a feel, as they quoted at trial, of a song will remain.”
